Our electronic check conversion service transforms a traditional paper check into an electronic check at the point of sale, converting it into an ACH (automated clearing house) transaction.

TransAction Central’s ACH service opens up your options beyond credit cards, allowing you to add electronic check payments to your website. And customers who don’t have a credit card can pay for their purchases directly from their checking accounts.

To use electronic check payment processing, a customer presents their bank account information. You, the merchant, use this information to submit an ACH transaction through your website or virtual terminal to TransAction Central for processing and authorization. The check writer signs a receipt authorizing the transaction, and the check is returned to them. The system debits the customer’s account via ACH and transfers the funds to your account in seven days. Merchant Accounts Express strongly recommends that you wait to ship the customer’s goods during this clearing phase.

Electronic check processing services are only available to U.S. citizens or residents who are at least 18 years old and have a SSN. The following business types are not acceptable for electronic check processing services:
